Evelyn Kerr Long, 97, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Life Care Center of Red Bank. She was a member of White Oak church of Christ and was retired from Sun Trust Bank. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Long; parents, Elizabeth and Walter B. Kerr; brothers, Fred and Joe Kerr; sisters, Ida Pleasant and Mildred Walker. Survivors include her sister, Eva Kerr (James) Cofer, of Tullahoma, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Lura Lee Kerr, of Signal Mountain; nieces, Barbara (Sam) Gennoe, of Chattanoga, Jean Morris, of Signal Mountain, Carolyn (Dan) Thomas, of Tullahoma and Mabel Brown, of Morrow, Ga.; nephews, Mark (Pam) Pleasant, of Nashville, John (Pat) Pleasant, of Birmingham, Ala., Richard (Debra) Cofer, of Marietta, Ga. and Joe Kerr of Chattanooga; and a special great-nephew, Eddie Brown, of Morrow.
