Ronald Upchurch

Ronald William Upchurch, 64, died on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013. He was a graduate of University of Tennessee. Ron worked as a CPA for several firms in town before starting with Joseph Decosimo in 1981, where he continued work until his death. He was the treasurer of the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts for nearly 30 years. Ron was an avid fan of the Tennessee Vols for over 40 years. When not working, he loved cooking and watching his grandchildren play soccer. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Upchurch; and mother, Dorothy Dobbs Upchurch. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife, Linda Fox Upchurch; daughter, Kimberly (William) Fraser; one brother, Oliver (Alicia) Upchurch Jr.; two sisters, Janet (Stuart) Smith, and Linda (Greg) Holley; four grandchildren, Caroline Fraser, Maggie Fraser, Kate Fraser and Will Fraser; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Carson Fraser, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. on Friday at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
