Lillie Stone

Lillie Griffin J. Stone, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at the Hospice Care Center. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe Stone, of Chattanooga; daughter, Cathy Stone, of Chattanooga; daughter, Debby Newman and her husband, Joe Newman, of Knoxville; and grandchildren, Brian and Rachel Newman, of Knoxville. Lillie was a retired nurse. She was an active member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Cornerstone Sunday School Class, where she served as a care group leader. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343 with Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
