Ellen Coulson

Ellen Ann Mullins Coulson, 74, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, after a brief illness. She was born in Richmond, Va., to Kenneth and Margaret Mitchell. Ellen was retired from Kennedy Space Center where she was a property administrator for the Space Shuttle Program. Ellen was an accomplished artist, musician and singer. She was a member of the Cherokee Chapter 301 OES, Dunlap Lions Club and Dunlap United Methodist Church, Where she was superintendent of the Sunday school and member of the choir. She was an avid NASCAR fan and a huge supporter of Dale Senior and Junior. Ellen enjoyed traveling, supporting Sequatchie County football and spoiling all of her grandchildren. She was known to all of her grandchildren as the worlds greatest Nana. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell Mullins Sr. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Arthur; sons, Darrell (Joy) Mullins, of Melbourne, Fla., and Kevin (Lynn) Mullins of Dunlap; stepchildren, Arthur (Laurie) Coulson, of Apple Valley, Minn., James (Karen) Coulson, of Dunlap and Sally DeSanto, of Triangle, Va.; grandchildren, Rachel (Tim) Wolfenbarger, of Indialantic, Fla., Kyle Mullins, of Nashville, Katie and Jesse Coulson, of Apple Valley, Minn., Ryan Mullins, of Melbourne, Fla., Joseph, Kenny and Jimmy Coulson, of Dunlap; great-granddaughter, Julia Wolfenbarger, of Indialantic, Fla.; brothers, Kenny (Sandy) Mitchell, of Weirs Valley, Cecil (Doris) Mitchell, of Sneedsville, Tenn.; sisters, Romaine Briggs, of Port St. John, Fla., Linda Boyer, of Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. CST Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Curt McKee officiating. Burial will be in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
