Loiuse Evett-Wallac

Louise Evett-Wallace ROSSVILLE Louise Grace Evett-Wallace, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. She was born in Flat Rock, Ala., to the late Jess Alvis and Grace Louise Sartin, but has lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was a member of Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church in Rossville. She retired from the Walker County Board of Education after more than 20 years as a bus driver and was also an LPN for Hamilton County Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Evett Jr.; second husband, Robert Edward Wallace; and brother, Jess Alvis Sartin Jr. Survivors include her children and spouses, Larry Wayne Evett, Kathy Sue and (Garvin) Vann, all of Bryant, Ala., Randall and (Tina) Evett and Lisa and (Adolfo) Cabrera, all of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. EST in New Canaan Cemetery in Dutton, Ala. The family will begin receiving friends after 4 p.m. today and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
