Pauline Oathout

Ida Pauline Oathout, 94, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 in McEwen, Tenn. She was born July 23, 1919 in Bethany, Ill., a daughter of the late Walter Cole and Alma Marlow Cole. Mrs. Oathout lived in Chattanooga for sixty-two years. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Oathout and only daughter Marjorie Ann Long. She was a member of the Hickory Valley Christian Church and a longtime member of the forty-niners. Survivors include grandsons Jeff (Rhonda) Long and Kevin (Jeanna) Long; great grandchildren Karlee Long, Jared Everhart, John Long and William Long. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Dale Lovelady and Minister Gary Armes officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-6 p.m. today and from Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
