Amy Robertson

VALDOSTA Amy Lara Robertson, 75, a former longtime resident of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardy Milton Crane and Opal Smith Crane, and her husband of 43 years, James Edward Robertson.Survivors include a son and his wife, Jimmy and Suzanne Robertson, of Fort Oglethorpe; a daughter and her husband, Bill and Lara Blanchard, of Valdosta; four grandchildren and their spouses, four great-grandchildren; two great-grandbabies expected in the near future; a sister, Phila Crane, of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister and her husband, Larry and Mary Back, of Pensacola; and several nephews and nieces.Amy Lara was a Christian who had the gift of service. She was devoted to her family and spent most of her life as a loving caregiver to several different members of her family. Her favorite biblical passage was the twenty-third Psalm, and her favorite hymn was Amazing Grace. We are so thankful that her faith in Jesus Christ has resulted in her reunion in heaven with her Lord and many other departed Christian loved ones.There will be a graveside service only at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
