Jr.Claude Lee "Stretch" Morris Jr., 60, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was of the Baptist faith. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and had received the Most Outstanding Soldier of Cycle Award and was previously employed with Kochs Foods for more than six years. He played football all throughout school and was an avid Alabama football fan. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Lee Morris Sr.; and his brother, Richard Wayne Morris.Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn Lowe Morris, of Chattanooga; mother, Mary Dell Morris, of Rossville; four children, Eli Cooper Morris and Sarah Kayne Morris, both of Ringgold, Ga., Christopher Alan Smith, of Hixson, and Ryan Wynne, of Soddy-Daisy; and two grandchildren, Cooper Lee Morris and Kendall Reese Morris. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Joe Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
