Phillip Wallace

Phillip R. Wallace, 71, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at his home after a valiant battle with MDS.Phil was a member of the 1960 graduation class of Chattanooga High School. He earned a degree in chemical engineering at the University of Tennessee where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Phil spent his entire career with the Tennessee Valley Authority serving in several management positions. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church.His wife, Linda Fussell Wallace; and his parents, Max H. and Frances R. Wallace, preceded him in death.He is survived by his brother, Larry (Teresa) Wallace; sisters, Glenda (Jimmy) Duggan, Pamela Wallace, Patricia (Terry) Qurles, and Barbara Rosenblatt; several nieces and nephews; special aunt, Faye King, Rock Spring, Ga. and Barbara (Charles) Rogers, Hixson; dear friend, Nancy Johnson, other aunts and cousins.The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Benjamin Nadeau for his compassionate care of Phil during his illness, as well as, the staff of Tennessee Oncology Associates, Memorial Infusion Center, Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Chattanooga.Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, will handle private cremation service.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
