William Royer

William David Ray Royer, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Decatur.He was born to the late Lenear and Mary Royer.He was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Marlar; brother, Alan Royer; and his nephew, Freddy Lane.He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rowe Sanderson; son, Adam (April) Royer; granddaughter, Morgan Royer, of Chattanooga; brothers, Len (Emily) Royer, of Enterprise; Tony (Debi) Royer, of Harvest; sisters, Sue (Fred) Lane, of Muscle Shoals and Robbie Conley, of Decatur; aunt Mrs. Louise Hill, of Decatur; nine nieces and five nephews; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Burnett, of Decatur and Judy Page, of Huntsville.Bill served in the U.S. Navy, was a graduate of the University of Alabama, spent 30 years working in the trucking industry and retired from Hamilton County School System in Tennessee.Services will be held at Westminister Presbyterian Church in Dectur at 11 a.m. CDT Saturday, Oct. 5.
