MaryCharles Forshay

FORT WORTH, Texas Mary-Charles Forshay passed from this life on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.She was a woman of faith and family, who was loved by many.Mary-Charles was a native of Chattanooga and moved to Fort Worth in 1970 with her husband Lee, an endocrinologist, and children Michele and Greg.A graduate of Emory University, she taught high school English and History before her career as a stay-at-home mom and volunteer. She was an active member of University Christian Church and enjoyed singing in the Chancel Choir. As a volunteer, she worked on many committees, tasks, and projects. Leadership roles included president of the Board of Trustees at White Lake School, president of Christian Women's Fellowship at UCC, president of the Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance, and District Director for the Texas Medical Alliance. She enjoyed traveling and reading. Her greatest joy was being Grandmary to her five grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Forshay; parents, Charles Victor "C.V." and Nina Lee McPhail; brother, Bill McPhail; and nephew, Will Forshay.Survivors: Her daughter, Michele Thompson and her husband, Bill; son, Greg Forshay and his wife, Cristina; grandchildren, Annabelle, Jaxson, Delaina and Lillian-Lee Thompson and Raymond Jorge "R.J." Forshay; and loving extended family and friends.Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday at University Christian Church. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at Thompsons Harveson and Cole Funeral Home.Memorials: Gifts may be given in Mary-Charles' name to The Gentry Shelton Music Fund, University Christian Church, 2720 S.
