hLaFAYETTE Valeria O. Hollingsworth, 91, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, surrounded by her loving children.She was born in LaFayette on April 16, 1922 to the late William P. and Edith Foy Hogue. She was a member of Woodstation Baptist Church and she and her husband fostered more than 30 children through the years. Mrs. Hollingsworth enjoyed holding her annual yard sale for over 30 years.She was preceded in death by her husband, F.A. Hollingsworth; and son, Larry Hollingsworth.Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Jimmie Hollingsworth, of Rock Spring, Maxie Hollingsworth, of Fort Oglethorpe, Dennis and Pat Hollingsworth, of Fort Oglethorpe, Stanley and Brenda Hollingsworth, of LaFayette; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Leon Autry, of Scottsdale; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends prior to the service at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Damon Perry officiating.Interment will follow in LaFayette City Cemetery.Online register book available at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, LaFayette, 706-638-1122.
