Danny Lusk

RINGGOLD Danny "Pineapple" Lusk, 61, after fighting the good fight, after finishing his course, after keeping the faith surrounded by his family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013.Born on Oct. 14, 1951, he was born in Grayslake, Ill., and has been a lifelong resident of the Hamilton and Catoosa County area. He spent six years at Bonny Oaks Childrens Home as a child.He was retired from TVA Sequoya Nuclear Plant after 30 years of service and was actively working for Black Diamond Consulting Services of Chicago, Ill. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a lifelong member and deacon at Silverdale Baptist Church.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Dian Lee Jackson Lusk; beloved daughters, Tiffany (son-in-love Jonathan) James, of Ringgold, Ga., and Mandy Lusk of Fort Oglethorpe; two precious granddaughters, Kaley and Casey James; sisters, Linda Lusk, Dale Lusk and Gail Sample; several nieces and nephews.He was pre-deceased by father, Harley Earnest Lusk; his mother, Nellie Kanele Lusk; sister, Ann Lusk; and brother, Sammy Lusk.His family would like to thank the nurses and CNAs on 4 South, Memorial Hospital, the staff at Tennessee Oncology Office at Battlefield Imaging. We also want to thank these doctors, Dr. Jerrold Selzer, Dr. Lee Jackson, Mike Albert, R.N, and Dr. Davey Daniel for their compassionate care for Danny. Nurses and doctors of Hospice of Chattanooga.A heartfelt love and appreciation for our special doctor and friend, Dr. David Dodson.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Silverdale Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Walliser officiating.The interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park with military honors presented.
