Denise McManus

Denise Annette McManus, 49, of Chattanooga, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at a Chattanooga hospital.She was involved in childrens ministries for many churches in the Church of God. She was a professional clown and professional puppeteer, which she used in her ministry. She was a member at North Cleveland Church of God.She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Edward Hale.She is survived by mother and her husband, Wanda and Howard Clayton, of Chattanooga; brothers, Harlan Hale, of Chattanooga, Dan Clayton, of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Tim Clayton, of Chattanooga; nieces and nephews, Aaron Hale, Matthew Hale, Dene Clayton and Lisa Clayton.Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 10, 2013, in the Dixon Chapel of North Cleveland Church of God with the Rev. Mitch Maloney and wife, Sharon, the Rev. Cecil Guiles and the Rev. Cy Harris officiating.Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, in LynnHurst Cemetery, Knoxville.The family will receive friends from 4-6:30 p.m. today at the church prior to the service.The family requests that memorials be made to, the Childrens Ministry at North Cleveland Church of God, 335 11th St. NE, Cleveland, TN 37311.We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the McManus family guest book at www.grissomfh.net.Arrangements are being handled by Grissom Funeral Home, Mark S.
