FORT OGLETHORPE Walter E. Moye, 69, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, after a brief illness.Born in Fort Valley to the late Eugene and Dovie Lou Moye, Mr. Moye had worked at Pabst Brewery, NAPA, Paulk Auto Parts, and later was self-employed. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include his daughters, Sabrina (Tim) Hanson, of Warner Robins, and Melissa (William "Bubba") Crawford, of Bonaire; grandchildren, Garrett Hanson and Hayley Hanson, of Warner Robins, and Savannah Johnson and Colby Johnson, of Bonaire; brother, Lewis (Wanda) Moye, of Warner Robins; sisters, Elsie(Lavelle) Highsmith, of Byron, Dovie Jean "DJ" Brown, of Fort Valley and Corrine (Brad) Davis, of Flowery Branch, and sisters-in-law, Diane Moye, of Fort Valley and Jane Moye, of Fort Oglethorpe.He was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Jr., Wiley, Malone, and Homer Moye.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 S. Camellia Blvd., Fort Valley, with Rev.
