Nella Hudson

WHITWELL Nella Jean Hudson, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013. Jean (affectionately called "Nanny Nean") was a member of Whitwell First Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She possessed a heartwarming laugh, loved to play the piano, was passionate about helping others in need, and was an incredibly loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves a legacy of her steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus, which allowed her to happily navigate the conflicts of life while maintaining an eternal point ofview always focused on the cross.She was preceded in death by her husband, Gettis Hudson; parents, Robert and Nell Sharp; son, Steve Hudson; daughter, Gayla Maxwell; sister, Joyce Tate, and grandson, Adam Maxwell.She is survived by her daughter, Judy Boles; daughter in law, Phyllis Hudson; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; loving caregiver, Willa Dean Kilgore.Funeral Services will be held Tuesday Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, Whitwell, TN. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. CDT Tuesday.
