Terry Parks

Terrence Sanford "Terry" Parks, 69,went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013.He was born Dec. 26, 1943, Terry was a 1961 graduate of the McCallie School and a 1966 graduate of the University of Chattanooga. He was owner-president of TSP Corporation for 12 years. He also operated a charter flight service for organ transplant teams with his son Bart. He served several area churches in music ministry with his wife, Betty. Terry was a member of Woodland Park Baptist church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Beatrice Parks.He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Betty H. Parks; son, Bartlett S. Parks "Bart" and his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Taryn P. Chapman and her husband, Terry, of McCalla, Ala.; five grandchildren, McKenna and Dakota Chapman, Austin, Victoria and Camden Parks; brother, Dale H. Parks; sister, Cindy Platts; half brother, Buddy Parks.Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today, Oct. 17, at Woodland Park Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Wayne Barber officiating.Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, at Lakewood Memory Gardens on Shallowford Road with with the Rev. Bruce Daugherty officiating. Nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
