Mable Gross

CHICKAMAUGA Mable Ruth Bell Gross, 93, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at her residence.She was born in Walker County to the late Henry and Martha Parrish Bell. She retired from Standard-Coosa-Thatcher where she worked for over 40 years. She was a lifelong resident of Walker County and enjoyed working in her yard. She was of the Baptist faith and believed in praying for everything.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Gross; their son, Thomas Lebron Gross; and her 12 siblings.She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Walker, of Chickamauga; grandsons, Tommy Gross, Mike and Tommy Walker; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday prior to the service.Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Chickamauga Cemetery.Online register book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes, Chickamauga Chapel.
