Andrew Duffy

Andrew A. Duffy, 55, of Chattanooga, passed away at his home on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 due to complications of a brain tumor. A devoted father, Andrew is survived by his children, Colleen Smith and Brian Duffy; by 3 siblings, John (Faye), Mary (Gary Higbee), and David (Cathy) Duffy and an uncle, Andrew Egan. He also leaves a grandson, 2 year old Aaron, in addition to a niece and several nephews. Andrew, who worked as comptroller for Cavalier Corporation for much of his career, graduated from Brainerd High School in 1976 where he excelled not only academically, but also in Football and Track and Field events. In 1980, he graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in Accounting. He had many devoted friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him as a man of kindness, generosity, and a wonderful sense of humor. A brief memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. today Oct. 21, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
