CHICKAMAUGA Martin Luther Chastain, 77, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Walker County to the late Crawford and Rader Stone Chastain. He retired from Chickamauga Telephone Company where he worked for thirty-three years. He was a lifelong resident of Walker County and enjoyed working on his computer and watching Westerns on TV. He was of the Baptist faith and had formerly attended Tabernacle of Praise in Kimball, TN.Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister and three brothers.He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Deloris Ann Pedigo Chastain, of Chickamauga, Ga.; their daughters, Debbie Haney, of Chickamauga, Ga., Candy Chapman, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., Becky Chastain of Rossville, Ga.; granddaughter: LeAnn (Joey) Mathews, great-grandchildren, Michael, Makayle, Gage and Molly Mathews; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends today from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Crest Lawn Memorial Park - Noble, GA.
