Ray Gholston

WHITWELL Ray Gholston, 70, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013. Kenneth served in the United States Army and was retired from Overnite Transportation. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Jean Thomas Jones; father, James F. Gholston; step father, Buster Jones; brother, Ricky Gholston, Richard "Bud" Grimes; sister, Glenda Garland; special grandparents, Moma Charlsie Thomas and Daddy Albert Thomas.Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Margie Ruth Gholston, of Whitwell: children, Donald (Valerie) Gholston, Angie Guy, Kenneth "Skitter" Gholston all of Dunlap, Michael (Leah) Gholston, of Ringgold, Larry (Judy) Kilgore and Cindy Thompson; step-mother, Faye Gholston all of Whitwell, sister, Ann (Jim) Rollins, of Cleveland; brothers, James "Sonny" (Debbie) Gholston, Ronald "Pete" (Iva) Grimes both of Whitwell and Steve (Hazel) Grimes, of Soddy Daisy; Special Aunts, Phyllis (Jim) Hawk, of Whitwell, Joyce (David) Goodwin and Judy (Bill) Scissom, both of Chattanooga; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; Special niece and Nephew, Mike and Jackie Griffith; several nieces and nephews.Funeral Service 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev Sam Long officiating.
