John Delaney

CHICKAMAUGA John Emmett Delaney, 71, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at a local hospital. He lived in Chickamauga for the past 5 years and was of the Church of God Faith. Mr. Delaney was a retired laborer from Local 41 with 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents John Dulaney and Lucille Turner; and brother, Kenneth Mays.Survivors include his wife, Gloria Delaney; sons, Johnny (Kelley) Delaney and Timmy (LRae) Delaney; and daughters, Dawn (Mark) Swanson, Frankie (Mark) Yates, and Lucy (Phil) Davis, and Amber Delaney; sister, Gay Darnell; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.Funeral Services will be held Monday Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Stanley Jarnagin officiating. Burial will follow at Garrison Cemetery in Dayton, TN.The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
