Mildred Gibson

Mildred Florence Gibson, 83, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, in Port Charlotte, Fla.She was a loving wife, mother and mammaw; she worked for many years at Lovmans; and was of the Catholic faith.Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ross Gibson, and several brothers and sisters.Survivors include her sons, Karl Gibson, Michael (Nancy)Gibson, Stephen (Twyla) Gibson, David Gibson, Christopher Gibson and Dale (Kim)Gibson; brother Robert (Ina Mae) Smith; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Father Jim Vick officiating,Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.Arrangements have been entrusted to Advantage Funeral Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave. 423-265-4414.
