William Prigmore

William C. Prigmore, 94, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013.He was born June 10, 1919, in Meigs County, Tenn., to the late Wiley Prigmore and Idella Gillespie Prigmore. He was a member of Renaissance Presbyterian Church. William served in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Tennessee Valley Authority in 1983.He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Henrietta Bacon Prigmore; sons, Neil (Kimberly) of Chattanooga, and Thomas (Barbara) Davis, of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the caring professionals of Avalon Hospice.Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, in the funeral home chapel.Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
