Frederick Hart

Fred HartFrederick "Fred" William Hart, 70, peacefully left this world in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013.He was born in Toledo, Ohio but made his home in Chattanooga in 1964.He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Worl Hart; mother, Violet Jean Hart; and infant daughter, Tonya Deone Hart.Fred worked in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry for many years. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, and a longtime member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 43. After working for TVA for 26 years, Fred retired in 2001. He was a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and the Chattanooga Photographic Society. Fred was, above all else, and avid photographer, amateur radio operator and motorcycle enthusiast. In 2001, following a motorcycle accident, Fred became a member of the Chattanooga Brain Injury Association. In doing so, he became a powerful advocate for Traumatic Brain Injury patients. Because of his efforts, Fred was elected to be a member of the Tennessee Brain Injury Advisory Council. His admiration of this organization and its mission was immense.He is survived by his brother, James Jim Hart; three children: daughter, Kimberlee Jean Francis, daughter, Kristi Hart-Holcomb (Richard); and son, Jason Worl Hart; one granddaughter, Chelsea Renee Henson; longtime companion, Margaret Ann Barbee; best friend of 49 years, Deone McDowell Hart.The family would like to give great thanks to Tonya and the staff at Chattanooga Kidney Centers on Stein Drive. The care and compassion they extended will never be forgotten.A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members.
