ROSSVILLE William Douglas Nail, 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.He was born in Soddy-Daisy to the late Raymond and Alice Nail but has lived in the Chattanooga area for most of his life. He was an Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and was of the Baptist faith. He was previously employed with S&H Erectors as a machinist for more than 30 years and enjoyed fishing and wood working. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Melton Nail; brother, Johnny Nail; and two sisters, Ann DeSalvo and Terry King.Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Colette Daniel, of Rossville, Connie Lewis, of Chattanooga, Cathy Smith, of Chickamauga, Ga., Seretha Oliver, of Dunlap, Tenn., Renea Berlinger, of Vancouver, Wash., Kim Davis, of Dunlap, Angie Smith, of Dayton, Tenn., and Misty Neal, of Dunlap; brother, Bobby Milligan, of Arkansas; sister, Betty Plank, of Dunlap; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Don Ferguson officiating.Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
