LaFAYETTE Ralph Lewis Bell, 81, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.He was born in LaFayette on July 27, 1932 to the late Burnett and Eunice Holcomb Bell. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, retired from the Georgia State Road Department, was of the Protestant faith and a member of the Untamed Fire Ministries.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vera Mae Brown Bell; son, Ralph Lewis Bell Jr.; daughter, Margie Bell; brother, David Bell.Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Rhonda Bell, of Chickamauga; daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline "Bulldog" and Terry Kinsey, of LaFayette; sister, Sara Joe Bell, of LaFayette; eight erandchildren, Dustin and his wife, Chloe, Amber, Danielle, Brandon, Justin, Katie, Chris and his wife, Jona, Crystal and her husband, Robert; and several great-grandchildren.The family received friends from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow in Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery.Online register book available at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by the Wilson Funeral Homes, LaFayette Chapel, 706- 638-1122.
