Clarence Sutton

Clarence Will Sutton, 82, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at a local hospital.He was a high school graduate and served his country in the US Air Force. Clarence had retired from ADM Mills.He was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church and enjoyed a good game of golf.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Laura Sutton; and son, Clarence L. Sutton.Survivors include his sons, Kenneth (Diane) Sutton, Edwin (Lorie) Hammond, Anthony Sutton, of Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Yvetta Sutton, Nashville; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Johnnie Mae Chandler, Louisville, Ky.; a host of nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Bethel AME Church, located at 2000 Walker Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404, with the Rev. A.J. Holman Sr. officiating.Interment in National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
