Frances Cargle

SUMMERVILLE Frances Tudor Cargle, 84,died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013.Born to the late Edward Reece and Mamie Louise Elsberry Tudor on Oct. 4, 1928. Mrs. Cargle was a member of the Fishers Chapel United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Houston Cargle Jr. on Feb. 1, 1996; granddaughter, Kimberly Cargle; sister, Mildred Smith McGuire; brother J.W. "Jake" Tudor; and brother-in-law, Fred Townsell.Surviving are sons and spouses, Ronnie and Sarah Cargle and Jeff and Paula Cargle; granddaughter, Suzanne Bailey; great-granddaughter, Lexie Bailey; sisters and brother-in-law, Winona and Billy Hughes, all of Summerville and Rebecca Townsell, of Fort Oglethorpe; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Fishers Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverends David Autry, Jerry Wolfe and Art Graves officiating.Interment in the Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Eddie Gentry, Mike Rench, Tommy Cargle, Donnie Smith, Andy Hughes, Cody Hughes, Kevin Espy, and Darrin Smith; Honorary Pallbearers Josh Tudor, Charles Tudor, Melvin Plunkett, Junior Payton, Weymon Tudor and William Mitchell.Visitation will be from 6 until 9 p.m. today at the Funeral Home.Mrs. Cargle will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of service.Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
