TRENTON Pauline "Granny" Burnett, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.She was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Copper Hill, Tenn. She was a member of Canaan Land Baptist Church and was retired from Rossville Mills.She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John H. Burnett; infant son and daughter, Bruce and Betty Jean Burnett; granddaughter, Melanie Burnett; and sisters, Eveline Ownbey and Patsy Kent.She is survived by her four children, son, James and Imogene Burnett, of Senoia, Ga.; daughter, Geneva and Ray Perkins, of Locust Grove, Ga.; son, Jack and Ernestine Burnett, of Rossville; and daughter, Ann and Jackie Moore, of Higdon, Ala.; special friend and caregiver, Rose; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren and 9 sets of the fifth generation.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Brandon, the Rev. James Burnett and Geneva Perkins officiating.Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with grandsons, Mike Cannon, Derek Burnett, Scott Kirk, Doug Perkins, Casteel Lacy and Jake Cannon serving as pallbearers.Honorary Pallbearers are Tony Burnett and Patrick Cannon.The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 p.m. today and from noon Friday until the funeral hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
