David Fry

Sr.BATON ROUGE, La. David Peyton Fry Sr., 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at St. Josephs Hospice Hospital.A native of Chattanooga, and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was proud to be a member of the Shriners of Richmond, Va. Dave was also a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Army in Germany, and as an instructor at West Point Prep School. He was a dedicated employee that loved his career in the golf industry where he worked for 40 years selling golf equipment for Arnold Palmer, Titlist Golf and Slazenger Golf in the many states throughout the South. Dave loved to hunt, fish, golf and play cards. He also enjoyed watching LSU sports with his neighbors, the Browns, and growing beautiful plants, watching birds in his yard and spending time with family and friends. He was a sweet hearted man with a close family and many friends. Dave was loved and admired by all that knew him.David is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Beverly Fry, who was his favorite companion and the light of his life. He is also survived by his children who adored him, Drenda Popp and husband Eric, David Fry Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Tracey Kelleher and husband Patrick, Derek Moore and wife Shannon, and Jami Fry; daughter-in-law, Lisa Teer and husband Jason; siblings, Rosemary Shuler and husband Ray, Sybil Breiwa and husband John, Steve Lusk and wife Francis, and Judy Morrow and husband Couvy; sister-in-law, Becky Marlow and husband Butch Davis; brother-in-law, Jimmy Bartlett and wife Cindi; grandchildren, Grace and Amelia Popp, Adele and Peyton Fry, Savannah and Chandler Kelleher, Macon and Presley Moore, Nathan and Nina Moore and Gavin and Max Fry. His grandchildren loved him dearly and will miss his love.He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Moore; and parents, Mary Tinker and George Fry.Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev.
