Andrea Varnell

Andrea L. Varnell, 65, of East Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at her residence.Andrea was born in Chattanooga to Wilbur and Dorothy Porter and was a graduate of East Ridge High School. She was of the Lutheran faith and retired as a LPN from Hospice of Chattanooga and had previously worked at Memorial Hospital, Erlanger Hospital and Gentiva Hospice.Surviving are her daughters, Christy Dotson(David Cantrell) and Karen Varnell (Crystal Baldridge); grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Dotson, Nicholas Cantrell, Jaxson, Samuel and Ella Varnell and Kindle Dover; brother, Bill (Glenda) Porter; sister, Dawn (Ken) Schrankel; nephew, Peter Schrankel; and several extended family members including Terry (Robin) Craig, Andy (Jaime) Craig; and daughters, Gillian and Peyton, Kyle and Stephanie Craig Garner.She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Stephan Schrankel.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at the funeral home.Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist.
