Lawrence Lakins

Jr.CLEVELAND Lawrence David "Larry" Lakins Jr. passed away in a Chattanooga hospital due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013.He was born on June 7, 1970 to Lawrence and Blanche "Pelley" Lakins. Larry was a member of the Charleston Masonic Lodge, as well as a Shriner. He was also a past secretary and member of the Cleveland Elks Lodge #1944.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna Mae and Woodrow Lakins, and Mary and James Pelley. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother and father, Lawrence and Blanche Pelley Lakins, one sister, Tami Lakins. On his mother's side, he is survived by aunts, Margaret Pelley and Marie Caravan, uncles, Dr. Dick (Sylvia) Pelley, Max (Wanda) Pelley, Walter (Phyllis) Pelley and Gary (Beverly) Pelley. On his fathers side, he is survived by uncle, Wayne Lakins, and cousin, Christie (Kenny) Eckstien. In addition to these, he is also survived by numerous cousins.A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at Calhoun United Methodist Church Cemetery in Calhoun Tenn. The family will receive friends in the parlor of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road on Saturday from noon until time to leave for the graveside service.In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donation be made to Shriners Hospital in Lexington, Ky., in Larrys memory.
