Bert Wilson

Bert Vincent Wilson, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away in Chattanooga on Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born in Harlan, Ky., on Jan. 19, 1934. Preceded in death by father, Clyde T Wilson; mother, Ethel Wilson; brother, Ernie Wilson; sisters, Edith Wilson, Shirley Wilson, Charlotte Shields. He was a retired technical sergeant USAF; He was retired with 25 years of service as quality control manager at Olan Mills. He enjoyed his family, friends and fishing. Bert was gentle man that adored his family. He found sheer delight in his grandchildren and he was loved by all who knew him. He made a friend out of anyone he met and would help anyone in need. He will be missed dearly and will remain in our hearts for eternity. He is survived by his wife, Ann Jaqueline Wilson; son, Steven Wilson; daughters, Beth Spangler and Meg Kelley, Sisters Margaret West and Lois Marrow; grandchildren, Steven Pinson, Christopher Wilson, Stephanie Hickman, Jessica McConathy, Seth Spangler, Stuart Wilson, Addison Kelley, Annsley Kelley and Asher Kelley. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Swan Pond Baptist Church, Barbourville, Ky., with the Rev. Denvil Taylor, officiating.
