Ronald Windsor

Ronald Sidney Windsor, 62, of Wilmington, S.C., died on Sunday, March 23, 2014. He was born on Sept. 28, 1951 in LaFayette, Ga. He formerly lived in Summerville, Ga., and was employed by Summerville Appliance, working as a repairman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Francis Putnam; and stepfathers, Clifton Thomas and Jim Putnam; and grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Sid Windsor. Ronald is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lea Windsor, of Summerville; sons, Rocky Windsor, of Lancaster, Calif., and Eric Windsor, of Folsom, Calif.; stepsons, Wayne Carden, of Carmichael, Calif., and Zach Lay, of Summerville; sister, Martha Smith and husband, Rev. James Smith Jr. of Tifton, Ga.; brothers, Carlton Thomas, of Ringgold, Ga., and Lanny Thomas and wife, Chrysan of Trion, Ga.; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Trion First Baptist Church, 95 Church Street, Trion, Ga.
