Mayes, 95, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, in Cleveland, Ohio. Local survivors: daughter, LouEllen (Eugene) Remson; son, Jerry Mayes, of Cleveland, Ohio; devoted cousin, Hilda R. Harris-(Adam) Hardaway; cousins, Javan (Alester) Harris, Anaphine Patterson, all of Chattanooga, and Orlinda Gray, of Knoxville.
