Norman "Tom" Watson Sr., 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at his residence. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mittie Nell Watson; and grandson, Evan T. Mason. Survivors include his children, Norman (Mattie) Watson Jr., of Chattanooga, Rosa (Harold) Carter, of Atlanta, Jeannette (Greg) Morris, of Hixson, Shelia (Robert) Mosby, of Cleveland, Tenn., Marilyn Mason, of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Anthony Watson, of Chattanooga; sister, Doris Mitchell, of Atlanta; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is today from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Carl Dorsey as the eulogist. Burial: Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
