Ida Pryor

Ida Blanche Pryor, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away on April 3, 2014, at the Hospice Care Center. Her life was summed up best in her own words" she was a good old girl." She was a member of the Old Stone Church, where she was Church Hostess and secretary and later a member of First-Centenary United Methodist. She retired from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as the Executive Secretary to the Dean of Admissions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Walter Pryor; and daughter, Laurie Elmore. She is survived by her sister, Dorthea Baxter, Atlanta; daughters, Shaen Callaway, Anita Wilt, Elyse Foley; and son, Scott Pryor; along with several nieces and nephew; sons-in-law; and daughter-in law; eight grand-children; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday April 8, 2014. at Heritage Chapel with Reverend David Harr and Dr. Linda McDaniel officiating.
