Ronald Horton Sr.

Ronald Odell "Kettleman" Horton Sr., 75, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. He was of the Church of God faith. He loved his wife, kids, family and CB radioing. He will be greatly missed. Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter, Roxanna Defur; mother, Eunice Cook; and brother, Albert Horton; and sister, Dollie Hodge. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Louise Horton; daughters, Cora Inez (Johnny) Vail and Nancy Elizabeth (Mitchell) Cleek; son, Ronald Odell Horton Jr.; grandchildren, Johnny Vail, Brandon Vail, Sandra Diane Bryant, Roxandra Yerden, Terri Yerden, Bethany Yerden, Heather Cleek and Haley Cleek; great-grandchildren, Alectra Vail, Savannah Vail, Jaycob Vail, Mason Vail, Bentley Vail and Jetta Vail; brothers, Henry Lee Cook, David Abston, Charles Abston, Paul Abston, Ricky Abston and Ronald Abston and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Troy Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Shipley-May Cemetery with Terry Yerden, Ronald Clark, Tim Estep, Jerry Wynn, Mitchell Brown and Billy Johnson serving as pallbearers.
