Ronnie Steele

Ronnie David Steele, 61, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Born in Sewanee, Tenn., he has lived in the North Georgia area for the past 40 years, he was a member of Fort Oglethorpe Church of Christ, was an employee of CVS for 38 years where he last served as store manager in Ringgold and was a former member of River City Corvette Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Jennie Bohanan Steele; brother, Hershel Steele; and father-in-law, Conrad Ellis. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Connie Ellis Steele, of Ringgold; mother-in-law, Vera Ellis, of Rossville; three children, Wesley (Sandy) Steele, of Ringgold, Ga., Christopher Steele (Candy), of Adairsville, Ga. and Savannah Johnston (Michael), of McDonald, Tenn.; sister, Kathy Neal (Robert), of Collegedale; brother, Glenn Steele (Debbie), of Trenton, Ga.; honorary brother, Bill Newton, of Ringgold, Ga.; honorary sister, Kim Brunson, of Dalton, Ga.; three grandchildren, Madison Johnston, Jaxson Steele and Connor Steele; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday April 13, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Minister C.G. Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today; from 1-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until funeral time at the funeral home. An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
