Ruth Bird

Ruth Pendergraft Bird passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at home with her family at her bedside. Mrs. Bird was born April 6, 1939, in Eureka Springs, Ark. Ruth had an engaging smile, gracious spirit and a kind, generous and loving heart. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and "Nonnie" to her grandson and those adopted grandkids in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burris Anthony and Katherine Cadwell Pendergraph; and brother, Floyd Lee Pendergraft. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Edward Bird; two daughters, Kathryn Bird Cobble (husband Will Henry Cobble) and Rhonda Bird Goins (husband Lewis Goins); one grandson, Vincent Vella (wife Bray). Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:30 p.m. EDT at Kelly's Ferry Community Church. Burial will be in McNabb Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
