John Kinsey

LaFAYETTE John "Joe" Kinsey, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Joe was born on Sand Mountain, Ga., and lived most of his life in Ringgold. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. Joe retired from Southeastern Wire and Cloth after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lee Clark Kinsey; daughter, Beverly Darlene Kinsey; his parents, James and Essie Mae Akins Kinsey; sisters, Flora Mae Benton and Bernice Gass; brothers, James and Roy Kinsey. Survivors include his daughter, Carol Kinsey, of LaFayette; sons, Jerry (Elaine) Kinsey, and Randy (Denise) Kinsey, both of Ringgold; stepson, Ron Clark, of Rossville; sisters, Cleo Grant and Melba Lonas, both of Ringgold, Joy Morris, of Ooltewah; granddaughters, Tara Kinsey, of Ringgold, Megan Kinsey Hairston, of East Ridge; grandson, David Kinsey, of Ringgold; two great-grandsons, Elijah Lee Plank, David Andrew Kinsey, both of Ringgold; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Committal services will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens. The family will receive friend from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.heritage fh.com.
