Azalee Bishop

Azalee Walker Bishop, 69, a lifelong resident of Ooltewah, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Acworth, Ga., at the home of her daughter. She was born in Chattanooga, on May 12, 1944 a daughter of the late Loomis and Lola Smith Walker. Azalee was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bishop; four sisters, Alvata Bailey, Hattie Payne, Betty Walker and Eliza Robinson; two brothers, David Walker and Ike Walker. Azalee leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Richard Eubanks; one son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Sandy Walker; one sister, Nancy Hindman; three brothers, Carl Walker, Clyde Walker and Wayne Walker; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. A celebration of her life is planned for 3 p.m. today, April 16, 2014, at Bancroft Church of God located at 180 Bancroft Road in McDonald, TN 37353 with the Rev. Donald Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until the 3 p.m. service time. Interment will follow in Ooltewah Cemetery with Scott Walker, Jason Mashburn, T.J. Jones, Taylor Jack, Frank Quinn and Chad Shadden serving as pallbearers.
