Geraldine Al lison

Geraldine Allison Geraldine "Gee Gee" Price Allison died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Gee Gee was born on Nov. 19, 1922 in Sylva, N.C. to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson Price. She was preceded in death by her parents, on brother; two sisters; and her husband, William Kelly Allison. She is survived by her loving daughter and son, Nancy Pruett (Shuford) Johnston and Charles Clyde (Judy) Pruett Sr.; grandchildren, Mary Claire Pruett (Nordeck) Thompson, Kelly Baker Brock, Lee Baker (Rick) Moran, Charles Clyde (Cathy) Pruett Jr., Martin Hunt (Krista) Pruett, Frank Burford (Anna) Baker, and David Michael Pruett; 26 loving great-grandchildren, Claire Thompson Getty (Drew), Kathryn Thompson (John) Greer, Laura Ann Thompson (Jeff) Howell, Nick, Mary Lee, and Caroline Thompson, Mary Alice, Summer and Baker Brock, Austin and Logan Stephens, Kathlind, Charlie and Anna Claire Pruett, Hunter, Allison, Preston and Price Pruett, Suki and Charlie Baker, Michael, Henry and Sam Pruett; and one expected great-great-grandchild. With her unconditional love and infectious sense of humor, Gee Gee had a way of making everyone she met laugh and feel special. She had a love of cooking. Her chicken poppy seed casserole and rum cakes were famous among family and friends. Her great grandchildren will always remember Gee Gee with a smile. She had the biggest heart and the love for life that will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Methodist church. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at National Cemetery. The family would like to thank the caregivers at St. Barnabas and her granddaughter Lee for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that memorial contributions be made to St. Barnabas Healthcare Center, 950 Siskin Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37403. The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at Wann Funeral Home.
