Robbie Carlton Sr.

Marvin Robbie Carlton Sr., 59 passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where he was a brick mason by trade for over 30 years having owned and operated Carlton Masonry. His passions in life were his family, fishing, and hotrods. He was preceded in death by his father, Gale Carlton. Survivors include his wife, Vera Ann; children, Robbie Carlton Jr., of Rossville, Kim Carlton Collins (Jeff), of Ringgold, Jennifer Greene (Dustin), of Cleveland, TN, D.J. Carlton (Janise) of Ringgold, and Todd Carlton, of Ringgold; mother, Josephine Carlton, of Rossville; sister, Jewayn Rayburn, of Rossville; brother, Darrell Max Carlton (Dartha), of Harriman, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and one nephew. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
