Shirley Hitchings

Shirley D. Hitchings, 64, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in Chattanooga. Mrs. Hitchings was born in Athens, Tenn., and raised in Riceville, Tenn. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed traveling and was currently employed as a housekeeper at Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hitchings; daughter, Sherry Ann Aglor; grandchildren, Christopher and Summer Hall; father, T.A. Crittenden; mother, Lora Mae Crittenden; sister, Martha Jo Frame; and brothers, Jackie A. and Charles C. Crittenden. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Loretta (David R.) Ramsey and Vickie Crittenden; brother, J.T. Crittenden; grandson, Joseph Aglor; nieces, Nancy Davis, Sandy Lambertino, Patricia Whaley, Amanda Rodriguez and Michelle Crittenden; and nephew, Randy Crittenden. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 25, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating.
