Carolyn Louise Marshall, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday April 21, 2014 in a local hospital. She was formerly employed by Gateway Hosiery Mill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Clark and Georgia Goss; brother, Morris Goss; and sisters, Beulah Mae Boswell and Mattie Cantrell. Survivors include sons, Fredrick (Yalanda) Clark and Darrick (LaDawn) Marshall, both of Chattanooga; daughter, Denise (Columbus) Upshaw, of Hixson; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Willie Paul Ednesome, of Roanoke, Ala., Bobby Clark, of Atlanta, Ga., and Jessie Burgess, of Chattanooga; sisters, DeLois Ann Burden, of N.C., Mary Hall, Ruby Stevens, Willie Mae Long, Linda (Robert) Clark, Theresa Jackson, and Betty Joiner, all of Chattanooga; special longtime friends, Eleanor Burch and George Yearby; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is today from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel. Burial: Forest Hills Cemetery.
