Louise Cartwright Waller, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in a local health care facility. She was a longtime member of East Chattanooga Baptist Church and later joined Brainerd Hills Baptist Church. There is no way of knowing how many times the names of her children, Joyce W. Walker (Doyle, deceased), Gene Waller, deceased (Donna), Dale Waller (April) and their families were included in her prayer jar. She loved us all. Mother was interested in many things: walking, crocheting, making ceramics, gardening, calligraphy, drawing, desiring to excel in all she attempted. We will miss her "Mammaw-isms," and her love of teapots. She will be lovingly remembered. Mother was the middle child of three born to Martha Boles and A. C. Cartwright. In addition to her husband, Curtis Waller, her sister, Rowena C. Welch and her brother, James F. "Bud" Cartwright predeceased her, along with her son, Gene, and her son-in-law, Doyle. In addition to her children, she had seven grandchildren: Jeremy (Andrea) Walker, infant Boy Waller (deceased), Erin Waller, Adam (Bonna) Waller, Jessica Walker, Eric (Jami) Waller, and Tanner Vinyard; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Bryson, Coy, Creed, and Owen. Mother resided at NHC HealthCare of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., for the last five and one-half years. How thankful we are for all the dedicated care she received there. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the East Chapel with Dr. C. Richard Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. 1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, TN 37412.
