Mildred Easterly

Mildred Lee Brown Easterly, 91, died at Valley View Assisted Living in Whitwell Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Mrs. Easterly worked for Dr. Charles Graves for 21 years and took pride in giving easy shots. She was a member of the church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Dovie Crabtree Brown; husband, Martin V. Easterly; brothers, Doug and Tom Brown; and sister, Thelma Hodges. Survivors include her three sons, Eric (Connie) Easterly, Greg Easterly and Austin (Mary Elizabeth) Easterly, of Dunlap; daughter, Sharon Gilmore, Marietta, Ga.; brothers, Jim Brown, Johnson City, and Jessie Adams, Orrville, Ohio; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CDT Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Ewton Funeral Home chapel with minister Freddie Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
