Freeda Snider

Freeda W. Snider, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014. Mrs. Snider was born in Carroll County, Tenn., to Clifford and Lena Williamson. She was retired from the Chattanooga Public School System and a devoted member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Snider Sr.; and sister, Anita Sloan. Surviving are her two sons, Daniel and Robert Snider; grandchildren, Lori (Bruce) Dodd, Lance Snider, Jordan, Lundy and Nick Longstreth, Amber and Lindsey Wood, and Cord and Justin Conrad; great-grandchildren, Katy, Bailey and Calvin Dodd. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, and noon -1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Dial officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Jones Memorial UMC, 4131 Ringgold Road, East Ridge, TN 37412.
